In 2023, I was accepted into a production of The Dark of the Moon, which was directed by an award-winning director and featured an incredible cast. My mom had sent a video of me singing Never Enough to the producer, and he loved it so much that he wanted me in the show!
I was part of the town in the story, which meant I was singing, dancing, and acting all at the same time. The most challenging part wasn’t even the performances—it was keeping up with school while doing two shows a day for two weeks! Every Tuesday, I had to wake up at 4 AM for a Zoom call with my tutor, and balancing everything was exhausting.
Despite the hard work, the cast made it an amazing experience. Backstage, we would dance and sing along with the songs happening on stage, and I have so many funny videos from those moments. Performing in front of thousands of people every day was both scary and exciting, but knowing my parents were in the audience supporting me made it all worth it.
